no, I have a definite claim albeit on the wrong side of the blanket much further down the line being descended from Hywel Dda, patriarch of the Tudor line. Henry VII's claim to be Welsh however is now considered to be pretty dubious and he only claimed to be Edmund Tudor's son to gain support from Welsh noblemen. Margaret Beaufort claim was through John of Ghent, who was just a byblow. and as for Henry being the son of Edmund Tewdur, many now think not and that he was just a grudge baby (somebody had it in for Edmund) once he won at Bosworth he never acknowledged Wales again and his son, Fat Hal did his best to kill Welsh language, culture and unique system of laws which dated from Hywel ap Cadell as well as trying to wipe out our ponies.
