Hmm - what's a Hatachi wand?

Good spot - I guess s/he is giving up all his/her hobbies!

Are Gimp suits better than sherriff or bbwear????

presumably getting rid of both bees and other "articles" as the buzzing was getting too much to bare.

I'll fight you for the avatar !! Auction it for charity!!

Which nicely lets me raise a point which has puzzled me since joining the forum. Unless a lot of you are very talented (and I am sure many of you are but not everyone) you appear to have found a source of un-copyrighted bee related images.

Any chance of knowing where they come from.

I thought copyright pix had something scrawled over the image or else where protected from lifting off the page so you couldn't use them any way.
Mine's just lifted from a clipart page...which reminds me, I used to have half a bee and I must find that again. That's probably owned by The Pythons. They never contacted me about stealing it though.

Can't find it so have used a dragon

Do you think the 'other stuff' that's for sale was used to relieve the stresses of beekeeping? ;)

All "intellectual property" is automatically copyright as I understand it. people can wave that and generally say so if they do. Many put copyright messages cross the pic to make lifting it not worth while. There is no way to prevent a determined "lifter " taking an image off the web page, (at least none I know). Yes you can make it difficult and prevent right click actions but worst come to worst they just do a screen capture.

I have a friend who is a professional photographer who took a shot of a murmuration of Starlings at Gretna Green only to find it being sold by an American who swears blind they took it. As you can imagine they are not best pleased.

Yes this sort of breach is disgraceful, I agree.
My first husband was a photojournalist and while he worked for the national newspapers they owned his shots and indeed sold them on. His agency stuff is still his copyright and even 15 years after his death I get the odd revenue cheque.
I don't think a few avatars here and there matter though ;)
