Just arrived ready for the splits . These are Buckfast Queens which suit me well.

How do you find doing it in the rain ? I should really with the amount I now have. Do you use big brolly
Do you find them grumpy? Especially if re Queening grump colonies ?

Brolly is ok for inspections but when I’m splitting colonies I just look for a quick window and go for it. All the bees are at home though.

Re queen by uniting with a nuc. All I have to do is quickly find the queen. Horrid bees are always horrid. For me at least.
