Still debating whether to buy one or not. Cells are usually in individual cages and left in my demaree style cell raiser until day 15. Last year 2 virgins had emerged early but luckily they were in their cage. I probably do 2 rounds of 20 grafts per season.
I also use the same apiary for mating which saves me having to transport cells to other areas.
 
All queens mated and laying (super happy) using Apideas.

Be careful with the next steps - to ensure good acceptance on transfer it is best to leave the mated queens in the Apidea for a while until they have fully developed their pheromones but at the same time they can sometimes abscond - I put the wee red queen excluder in over the entrance asap after the queen is laying. If they are running out of space but have stores you can take out the feeder and add in two more frames.
