Have viewed with amazement a number of spring-flowering magnolias here flowering in the autumn. Have now just seen a large acacia Dealbata (mimosa tree) in full leaf covered in flower buds not far from bursting into its beautiful yellow pompoms. (What are the bees going to make of that!) I'm curious, have others some strange examples from around the country of plants behaving totally out of season this year?

My Bramley apple had ripe fruit and flowers on it at the same time last week... and we have a Peace Lilly in flower in the garden!

A Spring-flowering spirea in bloom here - unusual...no idea if it's good for honeybees...

Hi All,
I also have apple and pear trees with both ripe fruit and blossom at the same time.
breaking all the rules I think.
Weird or what?

Too cold here for any blossom.

Early October frost killed most growth stone dead

Thought spirella were corsets.

You have some weird things in your garden, Luminos.

Crazy name, crazy broad.

Dusty.

It's Spirea, not spirella.
I thought you of all people would know what a spire-a is
:D
