I go for BB wear suit also, mine a fencing style one, excellent. Started with leather gloves but now normally use marigolds. Find they get a bit sticky though with propolis whereas the leather ones are not so bad at that but it is harder not to squash bees with leather ones.

one bee sting to the hand, that got him, lol

didnt feel a thing :coolgleamA:.. was expecting alot more!

I reckon Petes bees are a bunch of softies.. took Pete a few attempts just to get me stung.. guess the bee wasnt up for it.. after all.. who would be up for it if they knew they would loose their life in the process.

Atleast I have passed the first test on the road to becoming a beekeeper.

Thanks again Pete for your time and patience :cheers2:

If you want to give it a try - let a bee sting you on the hand and then leave it to pull the sting out itself. They don't always manage it but given time some can escape with sting still intact, especially if they move round in circles and widen the hole.

Interesting party game if you are bored.

Cruel of course, but if you don't flinch or frighten the bee it will have the best chance of surviving.
