I bought a pair of bomb-proof leather gauntlets at the weekend.....the feeling of security was fab. Been pinged a few times through the marigolds.....no sucker was getting through the gauntlet though!

YES ... But once you've squashed a few with the welding gloves on they will be well into attack mode ! Make sure your suit is well tucked into your wellies and your zips are all done up ... bomb proof gloves perhaps but a determined bee can get to places you would not believe is possible ....

Following on from squashing bees to gloves loaded with sting pheromones setting off kamikaze attacks at every future visit. Then the only real remedy is get rid of the gauntlets and return to disposables. This also improves apiary hygiene.
