When I last checked the supers on my 4 hives about 2 weeks ago there were three or four frames full of honey in each. The plan that I put together was that I would remove the supers, lift the brood box onto a QE, then remove enough frames from the half brood box underneath to allow me to put the frames with honey from the super in their place. Well by the time I opened up today, the frames with honey in had reduced somewhat but happy to report the operation went entirely to plan. Bees are happy, I’m happy. Might not need so much syrup this year.
