Of course not ..if you treat a colony then you immediately skew the results .. It's Bob Binnie isn't it ? Two other things stand out .. he may have been keeping bees since 1981 but his technique for separating frames and delving straight into the middle of a large colony like that would not get him through his Basic ! And as for alcohol washng ... so unnecessary when you can get the same results from a sugar roll.33 minutes in
