When they land shoot them with a unloaded air rifle and the same with flies.. i find it quite addictive.. :rolleyes:

Wish I’d thought of that sounds like so much fun and will be happening here very soon. Can’t wait to see the dogs reaction when she is looking to retrieve the shot game lol
 
I don't know what they're called... purple light bar things with electric screens to fry the wasps on.

Sticky UVs are better around food. Wasps tend to explode on zappers sending debris everywhere.
 
I like the tennis racket type electrocuters. Keep you fit swinging it round and then you get a double whammy cos the electric shock stuns them with a satisfying crack and then you get the added satisfaction of squashing them .
 
they were still active in Feb 2018 from previous year here in Norfolk, not sure if they survived though to spring / summer though after beast from east, but I have footage of them visiting hives in February 2018

Thanks for info Pete, perhaps an earlier cold snap this winter will sort them out but at the moment nearly every day I'm knocking a few out of the air by the hives with a water sprayer before administering size 11 coup de gras.
