No problem with that, just that Mr Brown has his own way of denigrating posters that surely cannot reflect well to casual visitors?

If you stick around a little longer and look back over RAB's previous posts you will find some excellent and thought provoking advice. If newbies took his advice instead of some of the carp that is posted occasionally there would be a lot fewer asking why their bees are not thriving.

RAB never blows his own trumpet (unlike some who continually ram their success and qualifications down our throats) but those of us who follow his posts know that behind the. occasionally brutal, bedside manner is an experienced and helpful beekeeper. If you make an effort to think about what you are posting and it's sensible and appropriate advice you will never get the rough end of his tongue ... those that don't deserve it - particularly when they claim to know what they are suggesting is right !

I've never seen RAB respond sharply to a newbie's question ... his attacks are usually directed at the idiot replies ...

What do peeps think

Plant some Borage + Phasalia.... etc etc ... buy a VERY big bag and broadcast it in every corner of every field... any bit of scrub land you can find!

The bees will LOVE you for it!!

GOOD LUCK

as long as those friends live further than 3 miles away, otherwise not much point

If the hive/hives are moved only 2 miles for instance then the locus of the hive would overlap the latter forage area, but the new position would ADD a possible 4 miles further on to the forage area of the two hive locations when combined. I think that is what Rab means by his reference to a Venn diagram. :)

Also called a Carol diagram ... after Lewis the writer?
