Noticed this when looking in hive entrance today! It does not look big enough but can't see round behind without pulling out frame which I am reluctant to do as it is still cold. 'Cell' is on end frame and bees clustering along all brood frames at base and as far as i can see through crown board - most of top of frames
Very strong colony so am adding another brood box if it is warm enough tomorrow.
Question - should I remove item?

Some-one with more experience will say more - but at a guess no because you can see a bee on the other side...more like wild comb (ish)...just a guess...so see what the clever keepers say!

looks like brace comb.

:iagree: Not a queen cell.

Facets look to be drone cell size, and deep

Simple question is what's the situation with drones in the colony?

Regards, RAB
