Would like to get a queen if it's not too late.

Split and put in a mated queen
This is the time of year when supersedures happen so it’s possible to get a new queen mated but she won’t be ready to mate for two weeks at best so you’re chancing it

Yes plenty of time have just ordered some queens for middle/late sept

I thought OP meant was it to late to get a new queen from the split

Yes .. that's what I thought ... chances of getting a queen made and mated is a bit thin at this point in the season is slim ... still some good mated queens available from UK Queen rearers ... you could have one up and running in a nuc less than a week if you buy one in.

Do you mean you would like to make a nuc up and buy in a mated queen?

Or do you want to make a walkaway nuc and hope they make a new queen themselves?

Option one - no problem, you will probably find that there are still quite a few queens available.
Option two - I think you would be taking a big gamble
