Improving with age.

Every year I seem to make some small improvements to my beekeeping.

I tend to paint a different pattern on each queen, and then take a photo so I can recognise each one.

Oh- it was deliberate. I had a similar plan. Painting each queen with a two/three colour design so I would recognise them individually. Trouble is, first you gotta find em....

I think by next year it wont be marked at all, on the second pic it looks like its coming off already.

It look's good enough to me..as long as there's a mark on there surely it should not matter what shape or design it is..

It's alright naming your queens but those sneaky drones always give her a false name and address

When I read the title of this thread, I thought it referred to the beekeeper not the queen
