Hi Guys

I have just been contacted by a friend who had yesterday 6 out of 8 hives stripped by Hornets.

This seems very early to me, so just be aware...... and keep a sharp eye out for the little blighters

Whereabouts are you?

Its not hornets!

Hornets are always a bit behind wasps in their nest building forays and the wasps havent really got going yet, maybe a dozen or so wasps at most in nests at the moment.
Hornets will be only be the queens, i dont think a single queen will take out a complete hive.

The only hornets out and about at the moment are Queens hunting food for the first couple of dozen workers.
