Commission Decision 2004/432/EC (as amended) deals with imports controls for food stuffs into the EU. A new Annex
to this Decision was adopted at the SCOFCAH on 12 – 13 April.

As a result honey imports from india have been stopped (for milk as well by the by) due to lack of an approved agrochemicaal residue plan being in place. EU have for some time required established residue controls for a wide variety of primary / agricultural food products. During the same review approval was extended to several countries where approved residue plans are now in place.

Added: Moldova added for honey; Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia added for honey; Uganda added for honey (imports to EC)
