Heated uncapping knife

Uncap the honey comb is not rocket science. Proplem is only, how much time it takes . It is not funny work at all.
Yes, it's an amazing extra tool, that bit of stick. Some uncapping knives even have a purposely bent end/tip to help get at the low bits of capped comb to assist in slowly digging the holes. I have a couple of them. :)
 
That looks neat. Pity there is no thermostat.
I'm pretty ashamed of my frames. I uncap with a fork and the drawn wax is pretty untidy. I must bite the bullet this season and even them all out
Yes ... mine are pretty much the same. I use a fork to uncap as well. I'm reasonably well organised these days and my home made uncapping tray means I don't get too much mess anywhere - not that quick a process but I like the cappings wax.

I now have a Mk2 uncapping tray .. same design but much larger ...
