I suppose I ought to try and design some kind of label for my 300+ jars. Is there a free program anyone might have used?

Scribus, found a cheap label company just waiting for samples before I use em.

I had hours of fun making my own labels up. So easy to print off if you get the dimensions right. All I buy is the security tags.

Thanks. I'll try it out. Does anyone happen to know the dimensions for the 12oz hex jar?

wonder if they will be sending out e-mails saying due to demand not enough jars lol

Spoke to them this morning - apparently they've been 'inundated' with orders (funny old thing!) but they're holding despatching mine until I get home :D looks like they have plenty of jars then!

Try the L7666 3.5 disk label as a starter, need to set up printer / label offset but really easy. One downside with printing your own is you need to seal the ink if using inkjet not a problem with laser. Will try to pm an example.

I used the same thing, software and printing on my pc, with the same result explained above.
I then found a local small printing firm that printed my design, that including a crystallisation label for the back of the jar and tamper proof labels, a 1,000 of each label for £50 something total. PM me if you want details...

My 500 jars arrived this afternoon – just need the bees to produce enough honey to fill them!!!

Had my jars today. Really good service from pattesons. E mailed me in morning to say they were on the way, then driver phoned me to give me a rough time of delivery. They also sent me a small sample of other jars and bottles.

Got my jars today was the sample seperate? Or in one of the boxes?

Was packed separate I had 500 so maybe it is to do with the order size?

I had a panicked phone call from SWMBO yesterday whilst I was still in work. There had been 8 HUGE boxes delivered from Pattersons. The message from her was I'd better get home quick and call them to take them back as there must have been a mistake.:nono::ohthedrama:

Oh no, had I over-ordered - had I hit 3,000 instead of 300?

No - all was cool - I just need to redefine HUGE for her

Thanks Bee-Key-Pur :thanks:
