Grafting tool cleaning

Hi,
I am about to have a go at grafting what I would like to know is is it necessary to clean the tool S/S or Chinese inbetween each transfer ? if so with what ?

which tool would you recomend for first attempts.

Small sable artist brush, clean/moisten it and draw to a point with your lips.

Same with the Chinese tool. Clean it off in your mouth between each graft.

I find paintbrush much easier, and yep, quick -lipstick free - wipe on lips works well.

I've developed quite a taste for royal jelly and larvae from off the grafting tool that are a bit large.

Eeugh, I tasted a bit of royal jelly last year, some I had collected for wet grafting, can't say it was a pleasant taste.

Queen rearing is going to keep me looking young then, with all this Royal Jelly as I clean my grafting tool.

as above - oral cleansing of tool is preferred method.

Lead and pencil spring to mind for some reason to do with Royal Jelly
