Easybee bees doing some house keeping.

I have recently bought two nukes from Mike. I was surprised that one lot were yellow bees. Mike tells me that I have two carniolan queens but that one colony have Australians as the nurse bees. He is interested as to how they compare with the normal caniolans in this respect. I noticed this bit of behaviour the other day. taken from about 12 inches with full protective gear of shorts and T shirt.
I must say they are very nice to have around the garden. Carniolans usually just ignore you. These Australian bees are very pretty and will come over and look at you. Not in a threatening way but just as though to have a look at you
