I drowned a queen in the syrup in the last cycle. She must have nipped across in to the feeder when I was trying to find eggs. I've now got a little cover to put on the feeder when the main cover is off.
However, this time I have given the bees some fondant. The front door is open and they have a queen. Do I need to keep spraying or will the bees sort themselves out for water? I've been giving a squirt each day through the front door to be on the safe side. Bearing in mind it is raining each day as well, but they are under cover of solar panels.
