Combining hive.

Had to combine a queenless hive last saturday (sheet paper method) with a queenright hive, how long do you leave before removing the queenless brood box, would today (tuesday) be long enough as this is the day i normally check the hives.

It's probably Ok but I prefer to wait about a week as the bees could ball the queen if they have not mingled 100%.
