It works !! Even one of my former dogs benefitted from it ... visibly changed him. No placebo effect there but .. nobody can explain it ?
I have a degree of xerostomia after radiotherapy. It has much improved over the years but in the early days it was pretty awful. I found a practitioner locally who had just the treatment . I had needles in my ears and the tips of my index fingers (that was ouch) and within half an hour I had a mouthful of saliva and my mouth remained fine for the rest of the day. I had a session twice a mon th for a while and I'm sure that kick started the recovery
Our local doctor stopped our eldest boy bed wetting with a needle like a fine drawing pin stuck to his earlobe. We massaged this pin before he went to bed and he was cured within a couple of weeks. It certainly amazed us.

I remember a fellow crew member, many years ago - used to turn up after days off with little bits of what looked like sticking plasters stuck to his ear, we assumed he'd had an accident and (unlike us) left it at that, then we realised the sticking plasters had become a permanent fixture so we tackled him. He had always had a problem with seasickness so had been advised to go and see an acupuncturist - the 'sticking plasters' held grains of rice in place, whenever he felt a bit queasy, he would rub these patches and the nausea would abate, he swore they worked, saved a promising career.
