I think the disease should be relabelled ABPV! In medical and probably veterinary practice, 'acute' = rapid onset and short lived eg flu or appendicitis. 'Chronic' = slower onset and longer lasting eg chronic bronchitis, diabetes.

Get a new queen if you are able. And stop playing that "waiting game".

Some colonies do get better but it takes time.
Taking the floor away to get rid of the sick bees and requeening makes it quicker.

I have had that virus 30 years, and now it is rare or vanished.

Every queen breeder try to get it off from their genepool.
 
Taking the floor away during this time of the year okay with the weather and wasps that have been lurking around? Currently dealing with CBPV at the moment and trying figure out best solution :(
