hasn't really risen above freezing here since Tueday, had to go up and get something from the shed earlier so had a look around the apiary - saw one or two tough nutter bees flying from one hive!!

I had a couple of those yesterday when it was only 1 degree. Reckon they were bursting for a poo!

Not the apiary as such but did a lovely Christmas Fair at the weekend and delivered a couple of boxes of mini jars to a local business for their Christmas hampers for customers. Thanks to @Newbeeneil for the great tip about filling using condiments containers, it was so quick!

Great looking stand and glad you found the tip helpful 😁

You look rightfully pleased behind a great display. Well done.
It must have been tedious labelling all those small jars though?

Saturday's Christmas fair has been cancelled due to the wind forecast. A real shame. Got a couple of smaller ones coming up but going to have a lot of candles and honey left methinks.

Don't give up hope, Will. Bad weather and hibernatory instincts will lead them to you. Last Saturday I took £900 in 4.5 bitter hours; 6kg of Bakers' (£150!) was had by one customer intent on making the West Indian winter ailment recipe of ginger-garlic-lemon-honey. Sold out of propolis, comb honey, Bakers'.

the forecast I've seen, they are scraping to justify calling it a fresh breeze, it's going to be a bit damp though

It's the 40-50mph gusts they were worried about with the gazebos. As it's on a high street rather than grass I can securely peg into (I know my gazebo can cope in high winds if pegged as I tested it during one of the summer storms), I can kind of understand where they're coming from but it's a shame. I'm now going to get slightly damp wandering around some farmland instead!

Appreciate that although for this one the whole event has been cancelled. Glad you're doing well even if it was grim- London? Hopeful for the three business parks though.

If you ever need to weigh a gazebo down in a high wind I recommend hanging honey buckets full of water from each corner. It worked a treat when gazebos were disappearing into the distance at our local summer fete. 😁
