Yes mine are being emptied and two colonies....the brood parts of Pagden ASs are on the verge of needing to be fed.
We seem to have a sunny day then three or four of rain repeated ad nauseam this "summer"

I fed two of my splits yesterday. All their stores had pretty much gone. Nothing flowing here. The rest have supers on so they have stores to tuck into.

Ha ha ...Finman Honey...I would call it...
I bought some feeders yesterday. I am just about to mix up a batch of syrup for them...hoping to add them tomorrow to the nucs. Rain again all day today!
I'm thinking of doing a Sun Dance...for August....anyone want to join me?

I'll join you - what a wash out July has been

I think their source must have been Finman!

:smilielol5:

No. I have record only 7.5 kg. 50 kg in 7 days and 120 kg in 3 weeks.
In Australia hives produce on average 300 kg.
10 production months. We have only 1.5.

Our hives produce more than eate.

I fear you humour will be wasted ....

"How do you know that you're talking to an extrovert Finn ?
When conversing with you, he's looking at your feet instead of his own"

Pargyle is angry to me because I use to correct his home made science. On topic.

I managed to put a feeder on 2 nucs.....the sun came out for a short time...but by the time we closed up...it was drizzling again. Sadly... The wasps had robbed out the weak nuc. So a clear up will need to be done as soon as weather permits. I have closed the hive until the weather improves. Hopefully the wasps will clear off now for easier pickings...I killed about 10 or more ....for as soon as I opened the hive...they descended on it like ravening beasts.
Still...it was a very weak nuc and nature has taken its course.
A lesson learnt ....don't go on holiday when wasps are about!

With your 2 years experience I admire your endless knowledge and your sense of humour. IT needs skill to laugh on own "jokes".

When you know little, you know everything.

What Lao knew about beekeeping? He was those "do nothing" guys. Sitting and thinking why why why bees eate stores. Why. He should carry hives to better pastures and do something.

Yes ... I'm going to stop now ...

Q: What is the difference between Finnish weddings and Finnish funerals?

A: At the funerals, there is one less drunk.

Oh dear. What Laotse would say about that: The less people, the better party.
