I came across this on the net. Follow the pictures in order (I note from the make of can that it is either USA or OZ)

What a shame- so ignorant - they could have got someone to reclaim that - Maybe too high off the ground for USA or OZ!!!

That's awful... What an ignorant fool.

Such a gift of low hanging fruit, totally unappreciated and, a waste.

If its in the USA, they have laws that all feral bee's have to be destroyed,in certain states.

Is that because of the "africanised" bees Hivemaker?

Very interesting Hivemaker... You can tell the guy talking is really sad about it all.

What a shame.

So what would you have done to relocate such a large colony? It would be an interesting challenge.

I'm guessing the idea would be to smoke them etc. then break off each comb and transfer each one to an empty frame, holding them in place with string/elastic -- or maybe 'shook swarm' them into a new box...

What do you think?

Mortein is an Australian brand of household insecticide

I live next door to an Aussie, he's moving soon ...

LOL
Actually its probably a good thing he is moving, my bees will be arriving soon.

Better the neighbour you know. Of course, if the new neighbours arrive some time after your hives, then the timing would be just perfect. :)
Bee lucky.
