This book is long out of print but a classic and I'd love to get my hands on a copy. I recall my old library had 3 copies - that went missing (must be those same beeks who steal hives eh ?) I read it once but haven't seen it since.

I think it was written by Morse.

Fingers crossed....

Morse?

.... = H :)

One of our local association members mentioned a beekeeping encyclopedia the other week that he wanted to dispose of. I think he said it was by Ted Hooper and someone else. Is this the one you are after?

Ebay has a few each year listed.
Average sale price is £70 I have seen it sold for £55 though.

I have just sent Somerford a PM with details of a copy for sale @ £45.00

Yep its the same one as I have.

Do you remember when you got it Bcrazy and how much you paid ?

Just checked my copy.

Price £15.95 net.

Published 1985

I paid for a collection of books from a retiring beekeeper who was a Reverend in the church. Can not remember how much I paid.

I suppose I had better have a read of it and start learning beekeeping.:confused:

Has anyone tried NBB, don't have contact addrs.

Hi Somerford,

Would you like to borrow the book in question?

If so I am willing to lend it to you for a couple of months.

Only drawback, you would pay postage both ways.

Regards;

Check with your local library, I picked up a copy on Friday, very interesting read.

Last time it was "borrowed" from the library was in April 2005!
