Hold on you people, yiz are stone THICK....

10 hives at £5 each = £500 ...

If you're going to start throwing around insults such as calling people thick, you might want to be more careful with spelling and calculations.

Registering hives is compulsory in NZ and it works well there. It makes control and diseases and pest easier.

I'd rather pay a small amount of money, have better disease control in my area, and have healthier bees.

What's a factor of ten amongst thickos?

He could get himself a fancy plastic beetainer for that much!

Regards, RAB

Hand in your "power to the people" T-Shirt and beret; NOW ;)

well I for one wouldn't pay to register my hives.....

:iagree: i wont pay to keep bees. i will hide them if i need to.If ''they'' decide to ''tax'' bees of any kind then they will be shooting themselfs in the foot. Dont bees provide great pollantion? :banghead:

As to the insults :chillpill: We have enough A***holes around this country stealing our hives. We dont need it here. If you dont like what others are saying ignore them or agree to disagree.

I dont think we'll ever be asked to pay a licence fee to keep bees otherwise huge numbers of beekeepers would 'go under ground'.
This doesnt alter the fact that although bee inspecters are employed by the nbu/fera/defra/uk government the vast majority are really nice chaps/chapesses who want to help bees, beekeeping and beekeepers anyway they can. The only downside to being inspected is having your details logged on yet another government database but seeing as 'they' have us so closely monitered in so many far more privacy impinging ways allready, for me the advantages of them having an accurate database for bees overides my personal missgivings about the endemic spying we're all subjected to.
As for paying tax, maybe we should all charge our councills a pollination fee for pollinating the countryside to offset our councill tax bills.

Yep like for a start simply posting on a forum. We can trace you IP address for a start.

See my signiture below!

It's one thing having the software to detect ones ip address plus server details .
It's another publishing same .
You have done this before ( to prove what a clever little geek you are perhaps ?)
Please pack it in ,you impress very few .

That signature is very common on some technology forums.
Your ip can only be seen by you, use a private browser if you would like to be anonymous.

Impressed you enough to comment on it! As Foxy said, the only IP address it displays is the one you are looking at it from, each viewer sees their own IP.

If you want to play Opsec policeman and be offended on our behalf, please learn what you're spouting about.

its just a trick, it a piece of coding that posts to the viewer on his computer his own ip address and type of broweer

so your Ip address has only been published to you, not to the forum

OK it is possible to do as he says, but i dont think he has

Cheer up Victor it is only a trick like others have said!:hat: I have now removed it, just to please you.

And also others have said you do not have to reply!

The point was to prove that we are ALL being watched, and people dont like it.

Forgive me for returning to the point...

I for one welcome BeeBase - when I started to keep bees (not long ago, granted), I thought a national database of beekeepers should be kept... not 2 days later, I received through the post (with my new bee suit in fact) a leaflet about BeeBase.

I registered that afternoon.

All this twoddle about Government trying to monitor everything we do is just that - twoddle. Frankly, if they want to monitor everything I do, they're welcome to - I couldn't give a monkeys! Although I'm sure they can probably think of better things to do with their time!

I don't know why you're so worried about extra taxes either... I didn't think any beekeepers had any money... 20% of nothing is...

Well it gets me totally wrong. It is indicating the IP of my proxy as it can't see my VPN, or my current ISP, and my browser flat out lies about what it is and the OS it is running on....!
