I visited Alfred's tower today, first thing I noticed when I got to the top was not the pain in my calves or that I could see practicaly the whole world from up there, but there were numerous honey bees flying around. I followed them and found they were going into a crack in the mortar.

I'd have thought the climb to 166ft high would be a bit of a waste of energy for the bees, I've got to say I wasn't sure 205 steps would be worth it, but the view wasn't bad.

Did you manage to walk round the ridge about 3ft above ground level without falling off as we used to do when we went for picnics there as children?
What a view - takes me back!
