If test kit in AFB would be usefull, it should reviele out spores in the hive. Test does not help, if you see the disease allready with eyes.
German tests tell, that laboratory test finds out spores 2 years earlier than symptoms become visual.
As said before, EFB is not a problem.

Can you explain why EFB is not a problem?
As for field testing, as stated we test for metabolites, so if spores are there then there is a high chance of picking up metabolites early, long before a noticeable outbreak. The problem then becomes what people do once they are aware . Over use of of any antimicrobial is never good, not everyone is willing to destroy and burn something that dosnt look infected..........It isnt so much a problem for larger scale keepers, but smaller scale it can be harder to let your head rule your heart.
