I am sorry if anyone thought I was calling them or anyone else a spammer, I was not. The term 'suspicion' was used very carefully.

Here is glossbees profile and it doesn't fit too well, at peresent (without some explanation), with the most recent description offerred in post #15 above (teacher, wife, carer), so I am still 'out with the jury' but with only the evidence, thus far of the previous posts.

Obviously to any indiot 'we' refers to more than one person! I (a part of the 'we') am the wife of Glosbee. I should not have to explain myself to small minded petty people with nothing better to do with their time.
For goodness sake all we (as in two people) wanted were other bee keepers to have somewhere to sell their old/new secondhand equipment. We hadn't heard of carboots with trade stands like this and thought it would be a good idea. We (as in two people) are not making any money as such only if people buy our old goods and some excess new stuff. I too am sorry if you have a bee in your bonnet as really, any one keeping bees is out to save or make money. Why else would you keep a creature that produces products that can be used!

Although I suspect you will retort that you no longer care, you are not exactly selling yourself or your services with your indignation.

have you thought of reregistering as Glosbee1 and Glosbee2 (or GlosbeeM and GlosbeeF)?

it is never a good idea for two people to share one user id and log-in, even for a forum.

And who is to decide whether an advertising post is from a "local based and native" business?

If the bussiness is based here in the Uk manufacturing for profit, then they pay for advertising which then goes back into the running of said forum/bussiness.

If myself a self employed crafts person is making things from home for himself then a PM for goods bartered is the way forward.

In this dog eat dog world of profit over your labour, if it iis to be seen fair, then we should back each other instead of making rules whilst ignoring the fact that we really need each other and each others imput and anything we can make in house should be allowed.

There are things like extreme tracker which can tell exactly where the sender is from.

Surely a shop for local people run by local people made by native people is a good thing.

I'm mainly keeping bees for pollination.

Sorry, but most of the folk on here like the forum to be advertisement-free, and a lot of us have even donated to keep it that way.

;)

I completely agree with Tony on this one.

Stuff adverts I say, I'd rather donate now and again and keep it add free.

And frankly with the demonstrated "attitude" I have no intent of ever dealing with them.

Fair enough, the rulers have spoken.

But I cannot see why there should be a problem with honest hard working and native pelf and competition using ones own labour and skills to get what one needs.

When things start to turn fury, and they will, we "plural" know, who will be in demand when the illusion and the cheapness and seperationalists of late dissapears.

Oh well that is life and peace to all.

God sake knock it off. When I was a kid I could not wait to grow up so that all I had to deal with was mature people. Now I have grown up and half my life gone I realise that there was a stage where everyone was lovely. However now it's seems the older you get it is your duty to become obtuse, pedantic, exaggerate, and be more of an a**e licker than I have ever seen in the military.

Well I'm not one of those. RAB your wrong. Your entitled to your suspicious nature if you wish but I prefer the helpful exact informative pleasant side of you. Not this "won't back down" person you become when challenged. It's unpleasant and makes you unapproachable. No offence RAB i think your brilliant and helpful but sometimes grrrr

As for the rest of this thread sorry but as a forum member and someone who stumbled on this thread I have my opinion which is valid as I'm the one exposed to the thread. And that is, it's easy to be a grumpy beggar when your hunched over your PC being a know it all, know nothing. But if your not confident enough to speak up you get shut out. And then you drift away.

Beekeeping forum - not waspish forum. Oh and shoot me down if you like - bothered. I'm smart enough to learn from wherever. But I chose here because it's the best, from i believe the best. So please don't disappoint.

That's all if have to say and hopefully this thread will die with this post.
