if you are thinking of increasing hive numbers remember that even a smart car can carry a significant number of complete flatpacked 14x12s.

you know finman wants you to!

Rogue drone - is OH expected to make way back on bus/coach/train? i know they are useful to stake claim to stacked goods on the trolley BUT they occupy valuable purchase space.

While it used to be expected that one would bring one's own barrow or shopping trolley ... it isn't normally for driving home in.

You dont mean to say you are thinking of becoming a 2 hive owner do you? lol

Not this year ... Finny would have a fit if I start catching him up .. the wood is for wood turning on my lathe ... John Davis has his shop on the same farm as Thornes and he sells all things for turning.

But I WILL be a two hive owner next Spring ... the next hive is going to be along the same lines as my existing one but it's going to be plywood inside, 50mm Kingspan and then reclaimed plastic sheeting on the outside (with a lightweight timber frame holding it all together). Should look a lot like my present hive but about half the weight ... and I'll change the mistakes I made this year. Winter project !
