Hi what are your thoughts please, I think I dropped a bollock and marked my queen too soon, notes in my book on 19/5/23 say, I located beautiful queen and marked queen, no eggs or brood yet, revisited on the 8/6/23 on inspection eggs, larva present closed backup and didn’t do thorough inspection as I was happy what I saw. Revisited today on inspection was met with this, please see pics attached, my thoughts possibly worker laying, as I couldn’t visualise queen.

I'm no expert & suspect better advice will be along soon, but there's only occasional double eggs as far as I can see and most are in the right place, I suspect you have a viable queen who has started laying recently.

Sometimes small colonies and a newly mated queens will drop multiple eggs in cells. It’s difficult with photos but that sealed brood looks domed and the pattern is crap . You’ve either got a drone laying queen or if multiple eggs in cells laying workers I suspect.

Larvae don't have the really pearly white appearance of health and as said earlier a poor brood pattern. It takes a new queen a while to settle into a good laying rhythm but she's not a newbie (pardon the horrible pun) now and should be into her stride by now.

All sealed brood looks drone to me and theres no other brood, there’s several eggs in multiple cells if you enlarge image 🤦‍♂️

Last photo, there's an egg on top of a pollen cell. Not seen that before.
#edit# same photo, eggs stuck on side of the cells = laying workers. !

Seen 2 eggs in a cell in one of my colonies this evening. New queen, getting the hang of it, I hope. The laying workers colony I've seen had 5 or 6 eggs in a cell. My opinion is you have a drone laying queen. None of that looks like worker brood.

I didn’t visualise her today she’s marked Red but no sign of her, I will go back over the next couple of days

To be honest I don’t think there’s such a thing as marking to soon, some mark virgins. Possibly she was damaged or not mated properly but given the pics with multiple eggs I’m guessing laying workers!

Not necessarily, I've got a queen who consistently lays on the cell walls (though near the bottom). Pattern's good, brood develops fine, her abdomen doesn't look especially short... but it's like she can't reach the bottom of the cells.
