Which type of honey do you like best?

I much prefer darker honeys, but honeydew is my real favourite (a guilty plesure as it's only available from overseas afaik).

Are there any uk crops which give darker honeys?
 
Without doubt the best I've ever tasted is in Sicilian wild flower mountain honey ( not the Eucalyptus from Mt Etna)
IMHO it's better than Greek honey. TBH our native honeys are bland by comparison. Most of our wild flowers have disappeared. All we seem to have left are massive single crops to chase. I think we have forgotten what good honey tastes like.

You can get Honeydew in the uk.
A guy local to me sells it.

Bell heath......or even bramble.
 
Darker honey? Heather of course.

My fav, Heather. It got me into bees in the first place. :)

Set eucalyptus honey. Expensive, but worth it! On a Scottish loaf (Mother's Pride, etc.) it's absolutely fantastic!
