My honey bottling experience is limited to that of assisting the head bottler .... jars were at room temperature, worked fine ... keep it simple ! mmmmmm I can taste it now ... oh well, off to make a slice of toast to scrape some honey onto ... Bibi
We take them from the oven and fill - so they start off quite warm and gradually cool - as with most things, not sure there is a right or wrong - as long as they are clean.
I'm sure I've heard/read that putting honey into warm jars can help to discourage the forming of small bubbles on the sides of the jar. These bubbles are perhaps the start of the frosting that appears when honey granulates.
