The apples, pears, cherry & plums are almost finished here and the dandelions have gone to seed. However, we have loads of sycamore, field maple and horse chestnut. In one hive today, some of the bees had a very bright yellow pollen coating the head and thorax but I don't know what it is - hopefully not buttercup.

It's also quite late too, my Rowan has been over for a few weeks.

@BPMurray
Glad you put that photo up, I've had the same with my hives, bit like a yellow Balsam type stripe.
I've also had bees that looked as if they had been sitting in clay/mud. These had a clay brown deposit around the side and tip of the abdomen.

We are a few weeks behind you Steve the dandelions have only just gone over and the crab apple is still flowering well.

The pink one’s a Cuckoo Flower?
Don’t ask about the yellow one. There’s loads of dandelion look alikes

I've got what looks like a tall/fully grown? version of the furry-leaved one here and decided it was hedge woundwort. With square stems?
- or maybe not, having another look.Your leaves look furrier and seem to be growing straight from the main stem.

Excellent, thank you. So one of the "cinque"foils with 4 petals then :)
Yes bpmurray. here's another type of strawberry (blind) it's a shame they don't fruit as I would of liked to make some preserve with them

I have a single open flower on my Rambling Rose Francis E Lester. Loads of buds, should be a wonderful display this year. The Wisteria was beautiful but the leaves are taking over now.

We have lots here. Usually enough to make a small pot or two.
Re your wild sage. Ours is nearly over. Next time you’re there rub a leaf between your fingers and smell it.
