I have bees like that. They came out uf the sky😉 I also have two of Ceri’s and will have two of Murray’s. Nice to compare.
So that’s 4 Welsh and two Scottish. Add to that some from Gloucester and one from Germany.
Fun isn’t it.

I'm interested... like Dani I like to mix the stock up a bit....who are you getting your Scottish AMM from... pm if you want to keep itva secret. I like Ceri's queens what made you want to change?
Not changing at all but my deseased mentors son has a few for me this season, so they have been reared in Scotland but have come from Ireland originally.
Edit not JGs either.

Was taking our environmental/conservation officers around an ancient woodland near the Ty Uchaf apiary today and we saw a lot of bluebell leaves pushing through. Also noticed the same with primrose leaves bursting out on the lawn. and saw nthese, a bit ahead of themselves growing out of a sheltered bit of the patio wall.

I have a dark pink primrose flowering in the brick wall in the garden its been there for years, you wouldn't think they would grow in such places.
They flower for a long time to.
Nice photo jbm

Couple of flowers out on the flowering current here - if some sources are to be believed then it's time to begin inspections

Wild garlic leaves just beginning to appear.

Caught my bees on japonica, gorse, snowdrops and hellebore (I know they were mine 'cause they were all wearing the striped scarfs I gave them for Xmas) Lots of pollen going in to all hives.

Daffodil flowers just starting to open here. No dandelions though. The snowdrops are still rampant and looking fantastic in the hedgerows. I recall ever seeing so many.
