I use one of these, but mine doesn't have an OMF....:)

"They are only half sized hives in a half sized car."

maybe only 4 big nucs that time but the infamous windsor pic includes 6 complete 14x12 set ups (albeit flatpack) plus extras. The other is a large delivery from MB.

Could you pop around and pack our car when we go camping. I think I could learn a thing or to about space management

you need to develop an eye for it - have a feel for the dimensions and estimate volumes of what you have to pack.

eg i can spot suitable boxes for BA hand baggage allowance (56x45x25) from a distance.

LS kit also nicely fits in OH locker - brood box full of stuff plus a roof on one side and a crownboard on the other, all strapped up, is spot on sizewise!!!!

Freelander, big pile of crap, but it goes and is 4x4 for the field work and comes into it's own when it snow's, moving 2 hives from the top of a field today, biggest worry is whether it will get over the first bit thats all mud and uphill. Do I take a run at it or slow and easy? Steven

My Kangoo happily carries 4 nationals or 14x 12s with floor two supers and roof on, with space above and room for extra kit behind. I have access to a tractor on my farm site but haven't needed it yet as the position is quite accessible with the Kangoo, whose front wheel drive deals with turning in fields that aren't too wet. Good to know its there, just in case though.

I have a Mitsubishi L200 pick-up. Not a good motor. Longing for a Landrover.

4 Wheel drive if the pheasant protection logs aren't down
2 Leg drive if they are (+ wheel barrow)

Nissan Pathfinder (works vehicle) great on all terrain so far and can get loads in!

By and large it has been Shank's mare shifting my hives with the added support of my Ford Focus, my father's megane or my mate's 508 estate. Bought a 90 Td a wee while ago with the intention of putting it back on the road (and off it) to cart bee hives. Already have a few other land Rovers i have been restoring......

when i finally get my dad round to doing it and making it a flatbed, more than likely i'll be able to drive by that time, i'll use this. but at the moment we're using my dads ford ranger.

That bloke staring at you in the photo clearly thinks you're a nutter!
