For rabs attention 2 means, to so thats to or is it 2 whitch means i had 2 artificial swarm the same hive that i had to artificial swarm 42 days before

Think he means "had to A/S again"

Today I moved my bees to their temporary out apiary 5 miles from my garden, they'll be coming back to my new out apiary soon (which is less than 1 mile away)

While I was there, there the beek to whom the temporary apiary belongs had a quick check of his hives, another quick lesson for me!
Clear enough to or is that 2 me :smilielol5:

It's amazing, isn't it, gals & guys?

Got a (on deep nationals) 12 weeks ago.

Since then, they've filled a 14x12 BB.
Today, I took off my first harvest of 2 supers of fully capped frames.
There are 2 more not quite capped, that will come off next week.
And they're working like heck on the fifth!

I'm pretty much in awe of what they've done in that time.

Mind you, this is my first year - the easy year!

But what a great time it's been, the last 3 months.

Got my father in law to put 50 frames together for me he has recently retired and is getting bored so a good result for me lol

Checked 2 hives.
1 hive had no stores in the brood box just wall to wall bias and out of the 3 supers on the hive 2 are full just waiting to be capped.
The other hive had capped the 9 frames in the super, inspected the top BB lots of stores some brood but the the heavens opened and I couldn't look in the bottom BB.
I will be extracting my second lot of honey sometime this week! I never thought I'd get honey in my first year!
All very exciting!

Supervised the OH while he checked the supers in our enormous colony. Filling up rapidly! Blimey there's alot of bees in that colony.

By contrast our other hive could possibly be q-, although of good temperament. Will be feeding them tomorrow as they need a helping hand.

marked 2 queens, have to find another 4! Inspected one of the hives and I'm sure I would have been fine wearing no gear, they were that calm, a bit of nice weather makes sucha difference.

put a 'wet' super (extracted yesterday) back onto a strong colony, if the weather holds they may yet fill it again.
106 lb of honey extracted yesterday, wax cappings now melting in the slo-cooker (got one especially for this)

thanks Swarm. It's been a bit drier here than a lot of the country (as usual)

Took two mure full supers off two hives to add to the one yesterday for extracting this week.
Checked a hive that was doing well before my holiday and which is bursting with bees but has only just started drawing the foundation on the super I put on a month ago. Bruised a couple of brood store frames to give them the hurry up.
Saw another I though had dwindled to nothing to discover still going, but not great guns. Will have to clear the weeds and check not being robbed. Will see if her may is firing and if not remove her and combine with another colony.
Only one I haven't seen now, but all doing well or very well.

Just moved to Ceredigion. Bees still in Cumbria :(
Am missing the bees, bought some honey from a roadside stall...very nice:)
There's a lot of Balsam here in this part of Wales :).........ducks

Checked my 3 hives this afternoon. I thought I was going to be uniting a Q less hive with the hive next to it, but was thrilled to find a frame of brood in there!!Yay!!
Hopefully it will develop enough to be strong enough to go into winter.....and the hive next to it has 6 frames full of capped honey which is another great surprise! My bee year which has, so far, been full of disappointments, has come good today.....oh, and I also got a phone call to tell me I have officially passed my basic bee exam. All very satisfying!

Taken 2 supers off larger colony after putting on clearer board yesterday - worked a treat (2 porters!) Nice when something works the way it's supposed to  Third super in process of being capped so put 4th on for them to draw. Still 7/8 frames of brood and 2 stores so well pleased with:):) them. Cut up 1 frame of unwired capped comb - first taste of honey fresh from hive - Mmmmm fab :):drool5::)

But . . . swarm colony from end May, not so good - capped Q cells :(, 7 of them. No sign of Q and no eggs or larva. Shame as she was a nice looking Q and seemed to be laying well, nice pattern but only on 3 frames, but they weren't drawing out more. So, removed 5 cells left 2 biggest and hope for some good weather end of this week or week after next when the new Q emerges.
