No this is pure lime honey. Crystal clear. And greener!
This is a 2oz jar that is at least five years old!

Wow. I'll bet just looking at it gives you the urge to pop it in the mail to Canada, doesn't it?

I think my spring honey is Hawthorne, cherry, sycamore and the summer is bramble, clover ,thistle, wild flowers . what's the term multi- floral honey . or as I'm told its just got to be called honey on the labels!

Can you tell by the colour what honey it is ?

Regardless of colour you will never tell what type of honey it is unless you analyze it under a microscope and work the pollen grains out..

Here is a sample of some of the stuff i have extracted it may need filtering a bit more to clear it up.. it has a possible mix of..?

Cherry Blossom
Sycamore
Hawthorn
Blackberry
Honey Dew
Thistle
Clover
Bramble
Garden Flowers
Gorse
Any god knows what so it is basically mixed Floral Honey..;) .

No flat ground in the centre of Ireland surround by pastures and bogland

Checked the thmyol syrup additive I made up yesterday, has a thick skin on top... underneath is still liquid, might need to remove the top bit?

Released the Buckfast queen I introduced on Friday night to a nuc.

A dog dug a hole under our hedge, had a closer inspection and it was a bumble bee colony in the hole.

I got fed up painting hives, etc with a roller so I invested in an airless paint sprayer (https://www.screwfix.com/p/wagner-c...ss-paint-sprayer-520w/8314x?_requestid=341644). Unfortunately, ParcelForce managed to lose track of it and it took a week to get here instead of the 24 hours they promised. It finally arrived today.
The first order or business was to paint 100 Langstroth Nucs that I received from Paynes nearly two weeks ago (https://beekeepingforum.co.uk/album.php?albumid=751&pictureid=3910). Well, I was a bit heavy handed with the sprayer (down to my own inexperience with it) but I did 45 in no time. If you have a lot of painting to do, whether it be bee equipment or anything else, I can definitely recommend one of these things. It had no problem with Sandtex masonry paint which is quite thick so, I suppose, it'll handle anything.

Exhausted. Early start to move some hives onto a field of Borage, quick rain dance and prayer...it's in flower but is it producing nectar....we shall see.
Called at out apiary on way home to collect some cleared supers, only they hadn't cleared very well, so resorted to brushing bees off. Back home and straight into extractor....I love my steam knife...it's not perfect but the time it saves uncapping...wow. Back to same apiary with the empty wet supers and set up clearing on the last 4 hives there. I think I'll leave them until Friday before collecting.
This has been staggering, I last extracted from these same hives 11 days ago and the current extraction averaged 50lbs per hive.
It shows what bees are capable of, given good sources of nectar and a long run of decent weather.

Where's it all coming from?

Added a fourth super. They drew comb and filled the third super within a week. Don't know how much longer it's going to last though.

Not sure but i doubt it.. the bees do have clover to forage but all the bees i have seen on clover have brown pollen sacks.. my bet is mixed forage with very little clover in the honey.

Sorry its a late reply its osr grain then that's making the honey white do you think ?
