OK, so here’s how one of my hives looks.....

SUPER - most frames are about 75% sealed stores, 25% unsealed.

BROOD - 5/6 frames with Eggs/Brood, but very little stores in those frames, and in the outside frames.

I need to treat with Apiguard, but want to remove the super first (think I’ll need to return it instead of extracting).

I’m aware if I remove super, they have little stores.

Should I feed syrup at the same time as treating with Apiguard, then put back the super when Apiguard has finished? So at least they’ll not be without stores.

remove super, extract and stow away. No issues with feeding whilst apiguard is on.
I wasn’t sure extracting frames with some unsealed honey was the way to go?

They should survive the winter on syrup? (and whatever they bring in before winter, obviously)
