Good for pollen, bee parts and mites ... 175x not enough for Nosema though ... 400x ? Great idea though ... taking photos as well !

Not really you need X400 or larger for pollen. Some of Sawyers criteria are only visible at X600, Hodges mentions that for surface detail you need oil immersion (X1000)
