I have a minor problem with streaks - when I am travelling I use a different machine. It skews the stats rather.

Yup, that first letter too from line 4, got at second try line 5 but there was still another option...
At third line I only had 3 letters and had eliminated 10 but having second letter correct at first turn I was constrained in letters I could eliminate.
I think I would have done better this time if I had got some common letters earlier or not had the second letter nailed down for me.
