Walking on the North York moors yesterday, the heather was in bloom where ever you looked (this was Fylingdales). A brilliant warm day in Yorkshire, my girls were very active, but not a bee to be seen on the moors. What a waste!

Probably there were some bees...but they were all fried from the microwaves emitted by the pyramid :)

as for the balls, they went many years ago

I'm glad that some one is getting a puckle of the heather as I honestly would have thought this year a total washout for heather.

Hello,
After all that rain and then this spell of good weather, I would have said that conditions are very good to excellent for the heather. I know for a fact that it is pouring in to colonies in the south headed by our queens.
