How much bramble nectar is washed out by rain, I wonder
On last year's experience I got very little if any bramble honey. It was wet but the temperature was OK and I felt that the bees stayed indoors during the rain. The blackberry crop was huge and my observation was that other insects were responsible for the pollenation required for such a glut - with minimal contribution by honey bees. I reckon clover loses nectar to rain as well. To answer the question I feel there is a nectar loss and rain-deterrent factors in play.
