No ...it's all true .... my bees also exhibit behaviour that could suggest they are survivor bees ...
1. They fly and collect pollen, nectar and water.
2. They build comb to brood and store the products of their foragings
3. They swarm (given half a chance).
4. They supercede queens when they are not happy with them.
5. They exist alongside other pollinator species (I've seen them on the same plants as other bees & wasps)
I know for a fact that these are all traits that honeybees have exihibited for centuries ... I've read lots of old bee books and they all say the same thing ...
So, by my estimation I should be crowd funding to preserve the integrity of my colonies .... I'll be posting a link shortly... if you participate I will send you one of my bees for every pound you invest in the project ....
