I used google lens to identify this species and it reported ‘hornet’! Is that true?
 
Yip. Definitely a queen wasp. I found one in my attic. I left it alone only to come back and find it in a spiders web being eaten by the fattest spider i've ever seen!

We have spiders in our bedrooms specifically for that purpose:)
 
Hmm. I'll be thinking about this next time I'm laying in bed and get an itchy nose!
they wait until you fall asleep and open your mouth
Then they scuttle in and sh!t on your tongue
