link and prices would be useful , do all bags shrink with heat.

I do find that shrink wrap bags are very good for their shrinkage ability.
Whereas paper bags dont react in the same manner. They do reduce substantially in size but the result is a rather rustic appearance and doesnt blend well with jars of new honey.

I do often give links to various items available on a well known auction site, but in this instance I feel that a science degree is not required to come to the conclusion that the words "Shrink" and "Bag" may indeed be more than enough to search out the aforementioned shrink wrap bags on the auction site..

but being such a lovely kind of chap...

I think the tamper strips fit better with the image of home produced 'cottage industry'.

Shrink wrap bands seem more commercial to me.

Tamper strips should really go under the main label. They could not possibly be replaced with an identical item, if a commercial tamper evident label were used.

As regards these shrink wraps - they, likewise, should be stamped/marked with some form of identification to avoid any replacement with a similar material.

All rather depends on the level of security one aims for, but needs some consideration as to mode of use.

Quite right, local honey is an artisan product. Shrink wrap looks more appropriate for packers of imports by the container load. It's not about substitution or fraud about the source, that has to be taken on trust. It's just an indicator that while the jar was on the stall nobody opened it and stuck a finger in.
