Received a telephone call from Leeds from a man claiming to have purchased a jar of honey which seriously injured his wife

Claims that the jar broke as his wife opened it and cut her hand which required urgent surgery and .......

NO... it just ruined our evening meal

Some years ago I worked for a specialist dry cleaner... we cleaned leather and suede garments mostly... we collected them from around 3000 dry cleaners around the country. We used to get the occasional failure in the process and would provide compensation to the customer when a complaint was made ...one of my girls came to me one day to say we had received over 50 complaints from shops around the west Midlands... about 50 times more than we usually expected.... we looked back to the previous weeks and complaints from the area had been growing exponentially ... more week on week... we checked with all the dry cleaner branches ... all the same bloke .. he had thought he'd sorted a nice little earner by going to a different dry cleaner every time... he didn't realise that they didn't clean the garments themselves... and my company provided the compensation and cleaned them centrally ! We set a trap in all the branches he hadn't been to in the area ..
.caught him on the first attempt... he got 3 months .... he had loads of form for similar scams...sounds like he's still around or has passed his ideas on !

Scammer got into my PC last November. Stopped him getting anything but he blocked my primary Hard Derive. Took weeks to get everything sorted.
